Furthermore, the exportation of ground equipment for the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system began in the previous month, in addition to the missiles themselves. This marks the first occurrence in which India has engaged in the exportation of the BrahMos missile to a country outside the territorial confines of Bangladesh.

Suppliers are currently providing the Philippines with missile systems amidst intensifying tensions between the Philippines and China due to repeated conflicts in the South China Sea. The Philippines is considering placing each of the three batteries of the BrahMos missile system on its coastal regions as a means of protecting themselves from any threats in the region.

Available reports widely recognize the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile as a highly successful global missile initiative, resulting from a partnership between the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the National Project Organization Mashinostroyeniya of the Russian Federation.

On a worldwide scale, many recognize the BRAHMOS as a highly advanced and rapidly deployed weapon. Additionally, it has significantly contributed to enhancing India’s capacity to counter potential threats.

The Brahmos regiments have been integrated into the Indian Army’s arsenal in various versions since 2007.

The initial phase of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile involves the utilization of a two-stage solid propellant booster engine. The engine in question is accountable for propelling the missile to velocities exceeding the speed of sound. The second stage of the vehicle’s propulsion system is the liquid ramjet engine, which plays a crucial role in accelerating the vehicle towards Mach 3, a velocity three times greater than the speed of sound, during the cruise phase.

The BrahMos missile may be launched from three distinct platforms, namely the air, land, and sea.A diverse array of platforms can apply this concept. The missile functions based on the “Fire and Forget principle,” wherein it does not necessitate any supplementary guidance subsequent to its launch.

It maintains a high supersonic velocity throughout its flight lifetime. According to reports, the missile exhibits a decreased radar signature level.
